General Information |
The European U17 Championships is an event for U17 players organized by Badminton Europe every second year. From 2017 onwards, the event is played in uneven years.
Both a team event and an individual event in all five disciplines are played during the competition.
The 2023 European U17 Championships will be played in Vilnius, Lithuania from 4 to 12 August 2023.
Players born in 2007 or later are eligible to participate.
The events will not count towards the BWF World Junior Rankings.

SEEDING / DRAW |
Team Event
The seeding of the team event has been made by Badminton Europe and has been calculated according to Regulation 7 of the European U17 Team Championships Regulations. The calculation is based on:
- the BEC European U17 Ranking,
- the last played European U17 Team Championships,
- the last played European U15 Championships.
The number of teams seeded in a first layer is equivalent to the number of groups (8). These teams were placed in order in position 1 in each group:
1. France
2. Ukraine
3. Türkiye
4. Czech Republic
5. Denmark
6. Poland
7. Romania
8. Spain
The number of teams seeded in a second layer is equivalent to the number of groups (8). These teams were drawn randomly into position 2 in each group:
Belgium, England, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal, Switzerland
The draw of the group stage was done live on 24 July 2023 and can be found on www.badmintoneurope.tv and on Tournament Software.
Individual event
The seeding for the individual event was done using the BEC European U17 Ranking of 24 July 2023 and can be found here.
