General Information
The European Junior Championships is an event for U19 players organized by Badminton Europe (BEC) every second year.

Both a team event and the five individual events are played during the 10 days long competition.
The 2017 event will be played in Mulhouse, France from 7-16 April. 
Players must be born in 1998 or later.

The events will not count towards the BWF World Junior Rankings.

Team event
The seeding for the team event will be based on the results of the 2016 European U17 Team Championships, the 2015 European Junior Team Championships and the BWF World Junior Ranking.

The seeded teams are:
1. Denmark
2. England
3-4. France and Turkey
5-6. Germany and Spain

The seeding for the individual events will be based on the last published BWF World Junior Ranking lists in 2016 (as all players born in 1998 will be removed by 1 January 2017).
